    About Concrete to Cotton

Concrete to Cotton is a residential interior design studio based in Lake Mary, Florida, creating spaces that balance structure and softness, polish and ease. The name itself reflects our approach—designing everything from the concrete foundation to the final cotton-layered finish, and embracing the contrast that gives each space its character.

Founded by Faith and Seth Freytag, our work is rooted in the belief that contrast creates connection: masculine meets feminine, modern meets timeless, refined meets lived-in. Every project is a dialogue between these elements—crafted to tell the client’s story in a way that feels fresh, functional, and distinctly theirs.

The greatest compliment we can receive is when a client says their home “feels like it belongs in a magazine”—because that’s exactly what we strive for: interiors that are not only beautiful to photograph but deeply personal to live in.

As we continue to grow in 2026, we’re looking for a Junior Interior Designer who shares our passion for balance, detail, and the art of creating spaces that feel like home—yet look editorial.

    Position Summary

The Junior Interior Designer plays an integral role in shaping the visual and emotional narrative of each project—from early concept development to the final styling details. Working closely with our senior designers, you’ll help bring spaces to life that balance creativity and function, with an editorial sensibility that reflects the Concrete to Cotton aesthetic.

This role is ideal for a designer with 1–3 years of residential experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within a design-driven, family-oriented studio.

    Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the design team to develop cohesive concepts and design narratives.

Assist in creating visuals for client presentations and review.

Prepare floor plans, CAD drawings, plan drawings, selection boards, and FF&E documentation.

Source furnishings, finishes, and materials that align with project vision and budget.

Communicate with vendors and showrooms to manage samples, proposals, and lead times.

Participate in site visits for field measurements, client meetings, contractor coordination, and installation days.

Support project documentation and maintain consistent project communication, accurate schedules, and budgets.

    Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in residential furnishing design preferred.

Proficiency in Rhino, Adobe Illustrator and Canva.

    Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with a remote design team and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of Florida residential building codes and construction practices (preferred).

    Compensation & Benefits

    Compensation commensurate with experience.

    Benefits (upon full-time transition):

SIMPLE IRA plan with 2% employer contribution

    Paid holidays and PTO

Flexible remote work with required Tuesday in-person meetings

Opportunities for trade shows, design camps, and professional development
