** About Us**
Kijona is an energy-technology company pushing the boundaries of solid-state battery innovation. Since 2020, we’ve grown rapidly, achieving major breakthroughs in solid electrolytes, securing patents, and partnering with leading aerospace and automotive manufacturers. As we expand our digital and software capabilities, we’re looking for a Junior JavaScript Developer to help build high-quality internal tools, dashboards, web services, and customer-facing applications.
** Role Overview**
As a Junior JavaScript Developer, you’ll work with our engineering and data teams to develop clean, reliable, and scalable web applications. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys learning new technologies, solving problems, and contributing to impactful software used by scientists, analysts, and product teams.
** Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain front-end features using JavaScript , React , Next.js , and Tailwind CSS
- Build and improve reusable UI components using shadcn/ui
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services
- Assist in building server-side logic with Node.js
- Work with MySQL databases—writing queries, handling schema updates, and supporting data access layers
- Implement and maintain secure authentication and authorization flows
- Help optimize performance, accessibility, and overall UX
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and team discussions
- Troubleshoot bugs and contribute to improving development workflows
** Required Skills**
- Strong foundation in JavaScript
- Experience with React and Next.js
- Familiarity with Node.js
- Understanding of Tailwind CSS
- Exposure to shadcn/ui or component-driven development
- Basic database knowledge (preferably MySQL )
- Understanding of authentication concepts (sessions, tokens, etc.)
** Bonus / Nice-to-Have**
- ** TypeScript** experience
- API design and REST/GraphQL basics
- Familiarity with ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, etc.)
- Knowledge of other full-stack or JS ecosystem tools
- Understanding of deployment workflows (Vercel, Docker, CI/CD)
- Interest in building internal engineering tools or data dashboards
