We’re seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer for a 6-month in-person contract to support design and development of mechanical systems for entertainment attractions. The role involves hands-on work alongside an experienced team, from modeling in SolidWorks to prototype building and testing. This position provides real-world exposure to the full product lifecycle in a collaborative R&D environment focused on safety and innovation.
- Anticipated Compensation: $24–28 per hour (40 hours per week)

- Work Schedule & Location: Fully in-person, North Nashville, TN area; flexible Monday–Friday hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in product design and development using SolidWorks
- Support engineering team with drawings, models, and documentation
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation
- Perform basic engineering calculations (loads, materials, factors of safety)
- Help prepare test plans, reports, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors
- Assist in evaluating materials, components, and manufacturing processes
- Contribute to maintaining quality and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0–3 years of experience (internships/co-ops highly valued)
- Basic proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Willingness to work hands-on in a shop/lab environment
- Strong communication and ability to collaborate in a team setting
Preferred
- Exposure to FEA or simulation tools
- Familiarity with fabrication, machining, or welding
