    Annual Salary Range : $40 to $55 per hour

    INTECON, LLC is seeking a technically proficient Drafter/CAD Operator to develop and revise engineering drawings and technical data packages in support of U.S. Navy Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems. This role supports Code 24 at NSWCPD by enabling precise, configuration-controlled technical deliverables for submarine system modifications, installations, and testing.

    Roles and Responsibilities :

    The roles shall include:

    • Develop, revise, and maintain 2D and 3D engineering drawings and schematics in accordance with NAVSEA and NSWCPD standards.
    • Utilize AutoCAD and other CAD software to prepare detailed shipboard layouts, system diagrams, and component designs for submarine HM&E systems.
    • Convert redlines and markups from engineers and technicians into formal drawing updates.
    • Interpret technical data, specifications, and alteration packages to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
    • Support configuration management processes by ensuring drawing revisions align with current engineering change documentation.
    • Organize drawing files and maintain proper version control in accordance with Navy records management and CDRL compliance.
    • Coordinate with engineering teams, field technicians, and program staff to ensure timely delivery of graphics in support of installations, testing, and program reviews.

    Qualifications :

    Education :

    Graduate of high school, trade school, or industrial school, or GED equivalent.

    Experience :

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the development of engineering drawings and data packages for U.S. Navy systems and equipment.
    • Demonstrated experience using Automated Computer-Aided Design/Drafting (AutoCAD) software for the production of technical drawings.
    • Familiarity with drawing standards including MIL-STD-31000, ASME Y14.5, or NAVSEA drawing format conventions.
    • Experience reviewing or supporting documentation for ship alterations, ECPs, or technical data packages preferred.
    • AutoCAD Professional Certification

    Preferred Certifications and Training :

    Proficiency in:

    • AutoCAD and other CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, MicroStation, if applicable)
    • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for documentation support
    • Drawing archive systems, configuration databases, and version control processes

    Security Clearance :

    Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
