Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Power BI Migration Engineer to support a large-scale business intelligence modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will assist in migrating and rebuilding Power BI dashboards into modern, web-based reporting applications while ensuring data accuracy and performance.

Key Responsibilities

BI Migration & Reporting

Assist in analyzing existing Power BI dashboards, DAX logic, and data models

Support the rebuild of reports using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies

Translate Power BI measures into SQL queries or backend logic

Ensure visual parity and accuracy with legacy reports

Data & Backend Integration

Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries for reporting workloads

Integrate with transactional databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)

Work with APIs to access and manage data

Frontend Development

Build responsive dashboards using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)

Develop basic visualizations using libraries such as Chart.js or D3.js

Assist in implementing interactive dashboard features

Security & Quality

Follow secure coding practices

Participate in peer code reviews and testing cycles

Write maintainable, well-documented code

Required Qualifications

1–3 years of BI/reporting and web development experience

Strong SQL fundamentals (PostgreSQL preferred)

Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Ability to interpret business reporting requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)

Understanding of BI data modeling concepts

Exposure to backend development (Python, Node.js)

Knowledge of data visualization best practices
