Role Summary HomeSmiles is hiring a Junior Technician who wants a hands‑on, outdoor job and the chance to learn/improve their valuable skills in property maintenance, exterior cleaning, and preventative home care. As a Junior Technician, you’ll work alongside a Lead Technician to complete exterior cleaning and preventative maintenance services on residential and commercial properties. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys physical work, shows up reliably, and wants a job where no two days are the same. No experience required—we train.
Pay & Perks
$16–$18/hour to start

What You'll Do
Start your day by prepping the HomeSmiles service van (located in Northwood, Ohio) and restocking tools and equipment.
Drive to customer locations in a company‑provided service van with a Lead Technician.
Perform hands-on services: power washing, gutter cleaning, window cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and other preventative maintenance tasks
Greet homeowners professionally, confirm service details, and obtain signed Terms & Conditions
Document completed work using a company tablet
Communicate findings clearly and recommend add-on services
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Reliable and punctual with strong time management (show up to every appointment on time).
Comfortable working in occupied homes in a customer-facing role with a polished, customer‑first approach.
Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and in outdoor conditions.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn power tools, water‑fed poles, squeegee systems, and rotary dryer vent tools.
Ability to work with heavy equipment (lift up to 50lbs).
Coachable with strong attention to safety and quality, plus problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
