Create Content for the Bay Area’s Most Beloved Food Community

Are you a digital-native storyteller with a passion for food culture? Do you live on social media, know what makes content pop, and have a knack for building engaged online communities?

Off the Grid is seeking a Junior Social Media & Content Producer to bring our food community to life across every digital channel. You’ll be the voice behind our social feeds, the producer behind our video content, and the connector between our vibrant market experiences and the audiences who love them.

For 15 years, we’ve been the heartbeat of the Bay Area’s food scene—from our iconic night markets that launched countless food entrepreneurs to our innovative placemaking initiatives that turn ordinary spaces into extraordinary community experiences.

    About Off the Grid

Off the Grid has been at the forefront of building food driven community spaces since 2010. Best known for hosting some of the Bay Area’s biggest recurring night markets, Off the Grid has evolved into a dynamic placemaking platform that unlocks the value of public and private spaces for our customers through blending curated food experiences, temporary event production, and experiential elements.

Your Role: Digital Content & Community

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll own the day-to-day content production and community engagement that keeps Off the Grid’s digital presence vibrant and growing. This is a hands-on production role—you’ll be shooting, editing, writing, posting, and engaging every day. You’re not managing strategy from a distance; you’re in the markets with your phone, capturing the energy of our food community and turning it into content that drives engagement and revenue.

    • Track email performance metrics (open rates, click rates, conversions) and report monthly
    • Coordinate with the B2B newsletter owner to align messaging across audience segments
    • Own daily community management cadence (30–45 minutes): respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across all platforms within 4 hours
    • Reshare and amplify food creator content to build creator loyalty and community connection
    • Monitor and respond to reviews on Yelp, Google, and other reputation platforms
    • Conduct weekly social listening scan using Mention: flag stories, respond to mentions, identify campaign opportunities
    • Identify user-generated content opportunities and community stories worth amplifying
    • Manage the ongoing creator feature content series—41 creators and growing—coordinating with the designer on graphics and scheduling publication across newsletter and social
    • Produce creator spotlight videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content at markets
    • Maintain the creator content database and track publication pipeline
    • Track social media analytics across all platforms and produce monthly performance reports
    • Support the Marketing Manager with data for campaign retrospectives and sales enablement updates
    • Maintain Active Campaign contact tagging and list management as directed by the Growth Marketing Lead

    • Genuine enthusiasm for food culture, local food scenes, and community building
    • Comfort working on-location at outdoor markets, food events, and production environments
    • Appreciation for diverse culinary traditions and the entrepreneurs behind them

    • Working knowledge of social media analytics and scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, or similar)
