JOB SUMMARY: Fancypants is hiring a Line Cook / Junior Sous Chef to bring craft, speed, and consistency to the line while growing into leadership. We want someone hungry to learn, confident on the line, and ready when the heat is on.
$23/hour or $48,000–$53,000/year | Full-Time | 40–45 Hours/Week
WHO YOU ARE:
Solid foundational skills: knife work, sanitation, food safety, mise en place discipline
2+ years’ line cook experience in a high-volume or chef-driven kitchen
Calm under pressure, consistent in execution, fast without cutting corners
Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Flexible for nights, weekends, holidays
Team player eager to learn and support others
Bonus: experience expediting, banquets, or large-format dining
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Cook on the line with speed, accuracy, and consistency
Maintain high standards across all stations
Collaborate with the Sous and Executive Chef on prep and priorities
Mentor junior cooks, reinforcing standards
Offer ideas to refine systems and improve quality
Step into leadership—run the line or expedite when needed
