    • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and cultural fit.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create compelling job descriptions.
    • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to build a strong pipeline of engineering candidates
    • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools to streamline the hiring process.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2-4 years of recruiting experience is ideal.
    • Sourcing-only is acceptable - this does not need to be a seasoned full-cycle closer.
    • “Lighter” experience can work if shown strong general cognitive ability , clear learning velocity, and real passion for recruiting + tech.

    Core requirement: engineering hiring exposure

    • Must have experience hiring or sourcing engineers (software preferred; adjacent technical roles acceptable if the candidate can translate).
    • Ability to quickly learn role requirements and identify signal in resumes/LinkedIn profiles (titles, scope, tech stack indicators, project impact, progression).
      • Backgrounds that fit
        • Technical sourcer (in-house or agency) who has supported SWE reqs.
        • Early-career technical recruiter who has run some full-cycle, but may still be developing closing skills.
    • University recruiting is explicitly in-scope, especially if they’ve supported:
    • SWE intern/new grad programs
    • Event strategy + pipeline building
      • Hiring manager coordination and process discipline
      • • Agency roots are a plus, but not required if activity level and curiosity are strong.

    Traits and abilities to prioritize

    • Strong cognitive ability/problem solving - can synthesize feedback, adjust search strategy, and improve quickly.
    • Coachability and responsiveness - takes direction well, iterates fast, communicates clearly.
    • High activity and follow-through - consistent outbound, tight tracking, doesn’t drop threads.
    • Genuine interest in tech/engineering (reads, asks questions, can converse at a practical level even if not deeply technical).

    Operating environment

    • Comfortable managing multiple reqs and partnering with multiple stakeholders.
    • Can keep processes moving across time zones (US + Europe) with proactive updates and clean handoffs.

    Tools & onboarding expectations (unchanged)

    • Experience with Ashby preferred.
    • Tools like Gem and ModernLoop (or equivalents), plus Slack and LinkedIn Recruiter.
    • Laptop is provided
