About Us
We’re It’s Haul Good, a locally owned and operated junk removal company proudly serving Northern Virginia for 8 years. We’re not your average haulers - our vision: We envision a community where every unwanted item we remove creates room for opportunity - a cleaner world, a stronger local bond, and empowered future leaders. We accomplish this through sustainable practices, community giving, and a culture that grows each team member, we’re not just clearing space - we’re making space for what truly matters.
To keep delivering on that mission, we need amazing people on our team... people just like you!
About the Role: The "Copilot" & Culture Keeper
The Junk Removal Technician (JRT) is the heartbeat of our field operations. You are the "Right Hand" to the Truck Commander, ensuring every job is executed with precision, safety, and a positive attitude.
This isn't just about heavy lifting; it’s about alignment. You are the face of our values on every job site. Whether you’re navigating a complex furniture removal or chatting with a homeowner about our donation partners, you are making an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Work alongside your Truck Commander to complete residential and commercial junk removal safely and efficiently.
The "Donation Scout": Take ownership of sorting and categorizing items. We prioritize "Donation First"—you’ll ensure that items that can help the community don't end up in a landfill.
Client Connection: Provide exceptional service by being friendly, professional, and attentive to the client’s needs.
Safety First: Adhere to all lifting and loading protocols. We move heavy items (100+ lbs), and we do it smart to ensure everyone stays healthy and energized.
Growth Mindset: Actively learn the ropes of truck operations and logistics. Your goal is to master the JRT role so you can eventually step up as a Truck Commander.
Team Synergy: Maintain the cleanliness of the truck and equipment, ensuring the team is always ready for the next "Spring Rush" challenge.
Who You Are
Physically Driven: You enjoy a job that keeps you moving and stay active. You see the results of your work at the end of every shift.
Community-Minded: You love the idea that your hard work results in donations for local families and a cleaner Northern Virginia.
Punctual & Reliable: You understand that "on time" is 5 minutes early, and your team can count on you when things get busy.
Teachable: You’re a sponge for information and ready to grow into a leadership role.
Requirements
Valid Driver’s License with a clean record (Even if you aren't the primary driver, we want team members who are ready to step up).
Strong Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (100+ lbs) throughout the day.
Communication Skills: You are comfortable talking to people and working closely with a partner.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
Positive Energy: You bring a "can-do" attitude to every job site.
Why Join Us?
Weekly Pay + Cash Tips: Our team members often significantly increase their take-home pay through tips and performance bonuses.
Clear Career Path: We don’t just hire "laborers." We hire future leaders. Most of our JRTs move into Truck Commander roles ($18-$22/hr) quickly based on performance and reliability.
Purpose-Driven Work: You’ll see exactly where your "junk" goes - to local charities and recycling centers that help our community thrive.
