    Job Description

    MANUFACTURING COMPANY located in ELGIN, IL is hiring HR PAYROLL assist 450 + employees with HR administrative support in the following areas: Payroll, Recruitment, Employee benefits, Training and, Employee Relations. Bi-lingual (Spanish/ English) is preferred. Have excellent prioritizing, organization skills and be able to handle multiple tasks. Be Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook programs

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

    • Enters and maintains all new employee and terminated employees into the payroll systems
    • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, and insurance, to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
    • Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
    • Enters employee changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, loan payments, transfer of employees between departments or shifts to update master payroll records and systems
    • Assures payroll is approved by the department manager. Assists management with timecard errors or edits. Ensure accuracy of hours/ pay prior to submission.
    • Enters miscellaneous deductions, bonuses, adjustments or benefits to employees’ payroll files or paychecks
    • Informs HRM of employee payroll discrepancies (unpaid benefits, overpayments, underpayments) immediately.
    • Maintains attendance records and issues attendance points reports and notice to Agencies & Management
    • Process manual checks paperwork and enters into payroll system.
    • Prepares periodic reports of employee rosters, earnings, taxes, and deductions
    • Assists with compiling data for wage surveys
    • Process weekly timecard reports for agencies by payroll deadline
    • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employee by payroll deadline
    • Prepares and issues paychecks and any attachments
    • Assist with pre-hire and onboarding process of all potential employees
    • Maintaining employee personnel files up to date, information secure and confidential
    • Produce employee notices for staff, boards and agencies
    • Maintain Employee informational boards and update every month.
    • Maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, training, and terminations. Informs agencies and management of updates.
    • Assist with company policies relating to Human Resources
    • Assist in benefit administration of medical, life, dental, and short term disability insurance programs and other employee benefits.
    • Assist in recruitment, maintain open list to date, set up interviews, and distribution of applicants to management to fill vacant positions.
    • Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
    • Assist with Investigations of accidents and preparation of reports.
    • Assist with employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews as needed
    • Assist with personnel related investigations.
    • Assists in planning employee events or any other employee function
    • Assist in translation of Quarterly meeting presentations and meetings
    • Assumes receptionist responsibilities at time of breaks, absenteeism, and vacation
    • Any other reasonable request by Management.

    SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am- 4:30 pm.

    PAY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE with a range of $14-16 hour.
