    THE OPPORTUNITY

    As a SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, you will create, measure, and execute the Just Work social media strategy. You will manage our social channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter), and leverage our co-founder's personal accounts, as well as coordinate with Radical Candor social media to maximize impact.   This role will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of social marketing initiatives that support and build book sales, email distribution lists, and follower count. While these are the key success metrics, all of this is in support of generating leads for talks and workshops. This role requires strong editing abilities, enjoys content creation, and is able to manage multiple projects concurrently. You will have a passion for technology as well as creating content that influences, educates, and sometimes entertains. This role requires being well versed in the latest social trends, channels, and best practices.   

    This role will report to the CEO with autonomy owning various campaigns, projects, and tasks in a dynamic start-up environment while keeping up the pace of Just Work. THIS IS YOU! 

    HOW YOU'LL DRIVE IMPACT

    DRIVE: set and maintain the social media strategy for Just Work, aligning with a newly developed brand voice and standards

    INFLUENCE: lead a measurement plan to ensure that the content strategy is rooted in performance, evaluated correctly, and demonstrates business value to book sales

    LEAD: build and be the champion of the audience by tracking and managing a community of followers; ensure the editorial agenda serves both company and audience needs

    PARTNER: collaborate with growth marketing, copywriter, and broader Just Work on social engagement 

    INNOVATE: create inclusive, diverse, engaging, educational, and dynamic social content

    WHY WE VALUE YOU

    • You effectively build and manage social media strategies including editorial calendars, moderation, social listening, sentiment reports, and trend spotting
    • You understand the social presence of Just Work and constantly suggest creative ways to better position the book to new audiences
    • You proactively respond to social media engagements and join relevant discussion pertaining to concepts in the book (.e.g. bias, prejudice, bullying, discrimination, harassment, physical violations) 
    • You analyze community, cultural, and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for social content; monitor and bring to light cultural moments and key holidays to enhance storytelling; share stories around personal people experiences 
    • You monitor social sentiment on trending topics related to the book to inform content decisions
    • You are a resourceful and creative storyteller, with innovative ideas for reaching audiences
    • You research and identify growth opportunities across new platforms, niche communities, groups, etc.
    • You have sound judgment to know when to challenge and when to disengage in real time online conversations
    • You are an excellent copywriter who can adapt style and voice across different platforms for different communities
    • You have a real passion for social media, hunger for knowledge, and intellectually curious

    DESIRED MULTIPLIERS

    • 5+ years relevant social media marketing experience
    • 2+ years of editing and social content creation 
    • Ability to work across various US and international time zones
