Summary of Position:

Packagers prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; following recipes/make-up instructions; wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; and demonstrating understanding of product and layout execution.

As a Farmer’s Marker Cashier, you will provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all our guests. Each cashier’s primary objective is to show our guests such a delightful time; they will want to return again and again. By attentively engaging guests, cashiers are acutely aware of the guests’ needs and desires, which will be matched to our offerings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Follow all JTR Group policies and procedures.

· Packaging, labeling and organizing product in a professional and timely manner.

· Greet guests quickly and with a smile, noting guests’ names.

· Engage guests about who we are and what we offer.

· Provide guests with information regarding food and bakery offerings.

· Take guests orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

· Notify Management when supplies are low.

· Respond to guest complaints with tact and poise, communicate issues with Manager on Duty

· Prepare market area for service by manicuring shopping area, sweeping, washing and polishing wares, etc.

· Suggestively sell items the guest may be interested in or that we are actively promoting.

· Ensure smooth operation of the market area.

· Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the market including counters, shelves, sinks, utensils, and storage areas.

· Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to Manager pm Duty.

· Complete all side work tasks prescribed by Manager on Duty

Qualifications:

· Be 16 years of age or older.

· Be able to communicate respectfully and honestly with others, including all staff.

· Be able to do basic math calculations.

· Some food preparation experience preferred.

· Have the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, up to 5 hours.
