    Summary of Position:

    Prep cooks will assist the Kitchen Manager to prepare dishes in accordance with existing menus. The prep cook will help prepare a variety of ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Follow all JTR Group policies and procedures

    · Training and education in the field is a plus, and some professional baking experience a must.

    · Weekends required + weekday availability also required

    · Must have reliable transportation

    · Valid Tulsa County Food handlers permit

    · Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds

    · Ability to stand and/or squat for long periods of time

    · Ability to operate in a highly professional manner with a positive attitude

    · Ability to work in a team environment and great oral communication

    · Ability to read and follow recipes

    · Dishes, opening and closing duties, sweeping, mopping, etc.

    · Ability to work supervised and unsupervised

    · Excellent time management skills

    · Must have a deep commitment to consistency and reliability

    · Must comply 100% with food safety standards and keep an ultra clean work environment

    · All other tasks/duties assigned

    Qualifications:

    · Be 18 years of age or older

    · Be able to communicate respectfully and honestly with others, including all staff

    · Have knowledge of service, food, and beverage with at least 3 years experience

    · Have the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, up to 5 hours
