Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Care Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing oversight of direct care staff and supervision to the youth in our facility, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive development. You will play a key role in helping each youth achieve their personal goals, while promoting a respectful, supportive, and structured atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, mentor, and support direct care staff, ensuring adherence to behavior management and therapeutic protocols.
Lead shift briefings and debriefings, communicating youth behavior updates, safety issues, and daily priorities.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels and coverage, adjusting schedules as needed to ensure supervision ratios are met
Ensure all staff model professional, trauma-informed, and respectful behavior toward youth.
Monitor daily routines to ensure structure, safety, and consistency in program delivery (school, group, recreation, meals, hygiene).
Respond to behavioral incidents, de-escalate crises, and ensure that interventions align with individual treatment plans.
Serve as the point of contact for emergency situations during assigned shifts.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred; will consider some college education with strong relevent work experience
5+ years Experience working with youth, especially in a residentail care, behavioral setting, or detention, preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle challenging behavior in a calm, patient, and respectful manner
Ability to provide leadershio and
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
Must be a team player and willing to guide and assist other team members
