Position Overview:
The Program Director-Licensed Child Care Administrator is a visionary leader responsible for the overall administration, operations, and management of services. The Program Director will assess, coordinate, and monitor the Phoenix Residential childcare program. In addition, he/she oversees the entire staff and ensures the daily care and treatment of the children align with the Program and Treatment goals. The Program Director directly supervises the Treatment Director, Direct Care Manager(s), and Case Manager and is responsible for the overall operations of the program. Meets daily with direct care leadership staff and provides on-going training and staff development. Works under direct supervision of the Board of Directors with a wide latitude of discretion and independent judgment.
The Program Director-Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) will be exclusively dedicated to Phoenix Residential and will not serve in the capacity of LCCA for any other organization during their employment at Phoenix Residential.
Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
Act as a visionary leader by maintaining a high-quality program per the mission statement, state minimum standards, and Department of Family and Protective Services policies
Provide emergency and on-call services when needed, including responsibility for ensuring 24/7 coverage of intake/placement
Oversee staffing patterns to ensure the supervision and the provision of child-care services that meet the needs of children in care
Directly supervise Treatment Director, Case Manager, and Direct Care Manager(s)
Act as a positive role model in professionalism, manners, language, and tone of voice to provide the best example of appropriate behavior for children, parents, staff, and others
Implement recommendations regarding the maintenance and improvements of the center and playgrounds necessary for meeting health and safety children care center requirements
Manage staff recruitment and retention, including participating in the interviewing, hiring, and orientation for new employees and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Required
7+ years Experience working with youth in a residential care setting or behavioral setting, preferred
Must have LCCA Administrator License or ability to obtain license within 60 days
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle challenging behavior in a calm, patient, and respectful manner
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
