    Job Description

The ideal candidate would have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. The central responsibility includes recommending database structures based on the data storage and retrieval needs within each department, and constantly monitoring our database and addressing database issues and problems and providing strategic data solutions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead solution and scoping to provide detailed designs for data architecture and data models to meet the needs of the Analytics, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.
    • Identify key data items within this strategy, develop design for optimal data structures to report on and analyze data from multiple sources.
    • Conduct stakeholder interviews and develop non-functional requirements, including gaps or opportunities that will lead to optimization of the current data warehouse (introducing new data structures and potentially new tools).
    • Liaise with business and technical teams, translating requirements into clearly defined specifications for the engineering team to implement.
    • Design game-changing logical and conceptual data models and schemas to transform our current data environment into a competitive asset.
    • Evangelize why data architecture is key to making better business decisions.
    • Partner with Analytics to set up and deploy companywide data governance program.
    • Guide engineers to develop, implement, and streamline data collection and reporting solutions and be the stakeholder for shaping our marketing databases.
    • Provide recommendations and be actively involved in enterprise system integration when applicable.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical implementation, architecture design, and/or data modeling
    • BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
    • Experience leading a large data architecture and analytics functions in fast-paced environment
    • Complex problem solving skills and ability to work with large amounts of data. Ability to use data to produce insights and recommendations.
    • Excellent knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools
    • Strong experience designing SQL queries to extract data, validate, and analyze data from a data warehouse. Experience data profiling, business process modeling, or system analysis a plus.
    • Advanced data architecture, analytical techniques, and emerging technologies
    • Consultative skills to establish relationships across the functions in the organization
    • Previous experience in e-commerce and/or digital marketing a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
    • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
