    JOB SUMMARY

    The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy including offering World Class Customer Service and becoming a World Class Employer
    • Leads the organization’s employee engagement and retention initiatives to increase organizational, programmatic and individual performance.
    • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
    • Nurture a positive working environment
    • Develop, oversee and manage performance management initiatives that drives high performance
    • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
    • Assess training needs to identify appropriate training programs
    • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
    • Support current and future business needs through the development, recognition, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
    • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
    • Assist all areas of HR and provide assistance to Team Member in areas including payroll, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits, and workers compensation

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive with a focus on employee satisfaction, culture, customer focused and employee relations
    • People-oriented and results-driven
    • Demonstrated efficient execution of projects without getting bogged down with details
    • Demonstrated the ability to prioritize tasks when presented with a number of options/ideas
    • Track record of rolling out initiatives that involved multiple stakeholders
    • Experience with employee satisfaction initiatives
    • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
    • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
    • Knowledge of remote work culture
    • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
    • Desire to participate in talent and coaching conversations
    • In-depth knowledge of multistate (NY, CA, etc.) labor law and HR best practices.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • A background in human resources management
    • Ability to think strategically with strong attention to detail
    • Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Must be able to remain in a sitting position for extended period of time.  Will most of the working day. Moving through office occasionally to access file cabinets. Constantly operating a computer, and other office productivity machinery such as calculators, printers, and phones.  Frequently communicates with coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to

    10% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
