We are seeking an experienced** Maintenance Technician** to join our team on the off shifts! The successful candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment involving heat treatment, cold forming or large press machining.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance requirements on all production equipment.

• Perform minor building maintenance, including problems with heating, plumbing, electrical and structural.

• Strong trouble shooting abilities to locate source of problems by observing device, listening for problems, and using testing instruments.

• Follow manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

• Welding, altering, and fabrication of components on machinery using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

• Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Movement of equipment, both internal and external
• Removal of defective components using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools
• Assist in safety and housekeeping repairs
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Look up spare parts in computer
• Fill out work orders and repair slips

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
• Hi-Lo, manlift, and crane license is required

You should be proficient in:

• Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans
• Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment
• Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

Salary info:

$27 - $37 / hr
