    Job Description

    Candidate will manage Child Nutrition Programs (to include the Child And Adult Care Food Program, At Risk After School Program, and Summer Food Service Program) to ensure all programs operate in accordance with State Agency and USDA program guidelines and requirements.

    JOB DUTIES

    • Act as authorized representative for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and maintain files required by state and federal officials to fulfill audit requirements.
    • Assist the Executive Director and the Program Director in maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures.
    • Assist the Executive Director with grant preparation and preparation of reports required by grantors (research, reports, writing, financial and program trends).
    • Maintain accurate records for the CACFP and comply with all required confidentiality regulations.
    • Maintain current knowledge of significant developments and trends in USDA Child Nutrition Programs.
    • Recruit new facilities for participation in CACFP.
    • Prepare or revise forms as needed to meet state and federal guidelines.
    • Make visits to daycare facilities to review compliance with program guidelines.
    • Perform audits of monthly claims from childcare facilities to determine compliance with program guidelines and eligibility for reimbursement.
    • ·Supervise staff.
    • ·Monitor and review time cards and time sheets of site staff prior to releasing for review by the Program Director.
    • ·Prepare annual CACFP budget and authorize expenditures within the approved budget.
    • ·Promote and support an effective work climate.
    • ·Create and maintain daily schedules for program staff; assures that day to day plans are carried out by the program staff as assigned.
    • Perform employee evaluations.
    • Assist the Program Director with staff development and training, as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma (or G.E.D.);
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Good organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work closely with others and diverse populations.
    • Strong leadership skills.
    • Proficiency working with Microsoft software and strong computer skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, Home Economics, Social Work, Education or related field or associate degree with at least five years’ experience in program or project management
    • Prior CACFP experience
