Job Title: Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
Summary: Kasa Properties is a property management company located in Berkeley, CA, that is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate possesses experience in the field, strong computer and communication skills, detail-oriented, has a positive attitude/approach and willing to work both individually and in teams. Basic functions include maintaining records, inputting/posting transactions, ensuring all accounts remain in good standing.
Routine duties include, but are not limited to:
· Process payables
· Record and deposit receivables
· Track construction costs as projects work towards completion
· Keep track of expenses for all properties
· Communicate with Residents
· Monthly account, credit card and bank reconciliations
· Apply annual rent increases accurately, in compliance with city ordinances
Qualifications:
· Possess strong Microsoft Office skills
· Capability to self-manage and manage time effectively
· Complete recurring tasks on a routine basis
· Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
· Self-motivated and detail-oriented
· Ability to assist in other phases of business
· Dependable and trustworthy
Preferred Competencies:
· Customer service experience
· Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
· High level of attention to detail
· Experience in Real Estate / Property Management is a plus
· Experience with Appfolio is a plus
· Spanish is a plus
Driving/Traveling Requirements:
· Valid Driver’s License & Transportation
Work Context:
· Majority of time spent sitting in an office environment
· Occasionally travel to property sites
· Office based in Berkeley
