Kathe Wohlfahrt of America is currently seeking SKILLED MANAGERS to run our CHICAGO seasonal location located at the Chicago Christmas Market in DALY PLAZA.  In addition, to managers we are looking for a team of SALES ASSOCIATES too!

These are ideal SEASONAL POSITIONS, running from EARLY NOVEMBER THRU END OF DECEMBER and great for anyone who enjoys experiencing the Christmas season. Here are the essential functions and skills we are looking for in our ideal candidates:

MANAGER:

• Hire, coach and lead training for all employees
• Lead and work with the team on set-up, merchandising and pack-up of all product
• Work with Assistant and Keyholder to create weekly team schedule and manage payroll hours within budget guidelines
• Responsible for accurate recording/reporting of payroll hours and daily sales reporting/reconciliation
• Responsible for maintaining all loss and prevention policies and quickly resolving cash discrepancies
• Ensure sales floor and warehouse are staffed, merchandised and stocked to drive sales and customer experience
• Resolve all customer issues quickly, calmly and effectively
• Maintain effective and timely communication with Corporate Management throughout the market season regarding all issues requiring feedback, resolution or support
• Ensure consistent execution of Kathe Wohlfahrt policies and procedure

ASST. MANAGER (1 POSITION) AND KEY HOLDER (1-2 POSITIONS):

• Guide team on set-up, merchandising and pack-up of all product
• Ensure all areas of sales floor are being maintained and stocked
• Resolve all customer issues quickly, calmly and effectively
• Committed to promoting a positive team environment
• Ensure consistent execution of Kathe Wohlfahrt policies and procedures
• Solid computer skills and knowledge of current POS (point of sale) systems
• Must be available nights and weekends and have ability to open and/or close market

SALES ASSOCIATES (UP TO 15 POSITIONS)

• Greet customers and provide assistance in a friendly, courteous manner
• Learn and understand the product line
• Ability to sell/persuade
• Stocking and restocking merchandise on a regular basis
• Operating a cash register/touch screen POS system
• Help maintain sales floor and stockroom areas

Qualifications

Manager Qualifications: 

• Must have a working knowledge of POS systems and the ability to work with Excel and DropBox software
• Committed to promoting a positive team environment
• Must be available nights and weekends
• Prefer 3-5 yrs prior retail management experience

Additional Information

There will be a few full time positions, but mostly part-time (8-25 hours/week).  We offer competitive salary, flexible scheduling and a generous employee discount. 

Location Hours:

Sundays – Thursdays: 11am – 8pm;  Fridays – Saturdays: 11am – 10pm

Special Opening Hours Thanksgiving, November 25 & Christmas Eve, December 24: 11am – 4pm
