A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Our SaaS System Administrator is responsible for supporting our client at their South San Francisco location. They will act as an escalation point for the Desktop Team. Their day to day consists of assisting with MDM solution maintenance, application roll outs, setting up Vmware in the local and Seattle office. They assist with cloud migrations, maintain Active Directory, and work with OKTA, Veeam, Airwatch, and Ansible. Saas System Admin also will be involved in 2x weekly standups with IT Executives, and regularly interact with the Information Security and Lab teams for continuous process improvement.

DAILY OBJECTIVES

• Keep infrastructure patched (VM’s both windows and linux, ESX, vCenter)
• Configure test and deploy master image updates for Horizon
• Script lab device integration for automation with Horizon
• Maintain in house customizations bolted onto Horizon
• Maintain in house GUI for Juniper
• Support Lab (Horizon, File shares, and Instrument integration)
• Escalation for on site helpdesk staff

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Minimum 3-5 years experience as a IT or System Administrator
• Strong Windows and Linux administration skills
• Experience with JAMF and Airwatch
• Good understanding of networking, firewalls, VPN, monitoring tools
• Experience with Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), On-prem & Public Cloud (AWS) technologies
• Working knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP and Identity Management Systems
• Ansible experience is a plus
