The Assistant Buyer will be taught the business from the ground up and will begin by performing entry-level purchasing functions and assist the department lead. You will learn how purchasing and pricing are handled through different buying cycles and market conditions. If expectations are exceeded, this role position will quickly grow into a lead buying role. You must be someone who can learn and grow with the company and is looking for a long-term home.

CRITICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:

• Strong knowledge and experience with buying and purchasing
• Experience with inventory
• Experience with high-volume commodity or perishable items
• Exposure to clerical experience in a purchasing or business-related environment
• Experience with vendors in a supply chain
