This person leads and coordinates all events and activities at Kemper. They need to be detail oriented, possess strong people and organizational skills, and have the ability to multitask over various activities at any given time. Previous experience in hospitality management and event organization is definitely a plus.
The position requires 30 hours per week, however during the busy seasons those hours can definitely expand due to the number of events scheduled. You would be required to lead the events and work with the guests to prepare for the event as well as the public events that Kemper has throughout the year.
Included in the responsibilities but not limited to the following:
Manage the daily operation of the hospitality department
Meet with potential clients to give them a tour of the facility and discuss options for their event
Be available to market Kemper in the community by attending events
Keep accurate records of each event for profit/loss analysis
Prepare marketing materials and keep them up to date.
Update the website as needed
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, graphic art skills a plus
Communication and sales skills are paramount
Be aware of current trends within the industry and the competition in the community
Hours per week: Minimum of 30 but will vary throughout the year and will be on weekends as well as during the week. Salary range: $30,000 — $35,000 Incentives offered in addition
