Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Location: Batavia, IL

Job Type: Full Time / Part time / Flexible

Job Summary

Reporting to the Teacher, the teacher’s assistant acts as an integral member of the Kings and Queens Children’s Academy team to assist in the overall management of day to day supervision and operations of a child age group through the conscientious application of Kings and Queens Children’s Academy standards and DCFS standards.

Responsibilities:

Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth

Create a fun and safe learning environment

Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents

Maintain the health and safety of all children

Job Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent

Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred

Passionate about working with children

Ability to build rapport with children

Positive and patient demeanor

At times you may be asked to assist in another room

Perform other related duties as assigned

Attends monthly team meetings, classroom meetings and staff development workshop

Adhere to dress code; if designated, take calls and messages in a polite, helpful manner

Maintains confidentiality;

Must have a current medical with a proof of required immunizations as well as DCFS required trainings (15 hours/year) and forms with 3 reference letters.

Must pass the background check

Must be a member of Gateway to Opportunity

· A criminal reference check and verification of medical suitability will be required as specified in Licensing Regulations.
