Job Description
ABOUT THE SUMMER TECHNOLOGY INTERN POSITION:
The technology intern will be responsible for executing work plans for the technology team, including cleaning, maintaining, and tracking the inventory of technology hardware for all six schools in the KIPP Colorado network.
This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt position based in the school. The technology intern will report directly to the technology manager. The technology intern will work with the technology team to complete all summer maintenance responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
DEVICE MAINTENANCE
Clean Chromebooks and Chromebook carts
Clean laptops and laptop carts
Clean iPads and iPad charging stations
Clean teacher laptops
Clean classroom technology including document cameras and printers
Follow protocols to complete basic maintenance on student devices
Follow protocols to set up new devices and connect them to the network
INVENTORY SYSTEM
Unpack, inventory and tag new student and staff devices
Accurately update inventory database as directed
ORGANIZING
Clean and set up technology supply closets according to guidelines
Support technology staff to identify and stage items for recycling
Other duties as requested to complete summer technology set-up and maintenance
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
No technology experience required
Ability to reliably travel to all six schools in our network
Experience working in a school or non-profit preferred
Reliable, organized and task oriented
Willingness and ability to follow set guidelines accurately and in a timely manner
Comfort with working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Demonstrated ability to work well with others
Track record of providing outstanding customer service
Passionate commitment to KIPP Colorado mission and to high standards of excellence
Additional Information
THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO TURN INTO A FULL-TIME ROLE.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position pays $15/hr
Participation in PERA
Eligible for overtime pay
