    Job Description

    KIPP Memphis Public Schools is seeking two Graduate Human Resources Interns. These interns will be unpaid and will receive academic credit upon completion of certain requirements laid out by KIPP Memphis Public Schools and your graduate degree program.

     

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Process paperwork, onboard new employees, and set up new teachers/school staff for success as they enter the 22-23 School Year!
    • Support the work of enrolling teachers into educator licensure portals for the state of Tennessee
    • Commit 10-20 hours a week during June & July
    • Work in a professional environment, in-person at our regional office (2670 Union Ave Extd, Ste 1100, 38112)
    • Work in schools in North Memphis. Have reliable transportation to travel to these work sites.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Clear a background check
    • Enrolled in a graduate degree MBA program
    • Express an interest in the following sectors: non-profit, local government, or education
    • Express an interest in Human Resources, particularly benefits administration, onboarding new employees, workforce development, or training
    • Previous experience working in public sector is a plus.
    • Operate using the utmost discretion, are polite, trustworthy, responsible, punctual, and respectful
    • Communicate effectively in written, in-person, and virtual/phone communication
    • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite products
