    Job Description

    KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools' Regional Support Team is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Creative and Social Media Associate. The Creative and Social Media Associate will lead the creation of internal and external marketing materials at KIPP Metro Atlanta, with an emphasis on digital design, print, and event collateral. In partnership with the Marketing & Communications Manager, this person will also manage social media strategy and post content on KIPP Metro Atlanta’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn). 

    As a Creative and Social Media Associate, your core responsibilities include:

    Lead the conceptualization and design of marketing materials

    • Design assets for social media, email marketing, events, print collateral, signage, and merchandise
    • Steward KIPP Metro Atlanta’s brand by maintaining a bank of templates and resources for KIPP Metro Atlanta school teams 
    • Partner with KIPP Foundation marketing team to elevate KIPP Metro Atlanta’s brand and programmatic efforts through best-in-class marketing

    Manage KIPP Metro Atlanta’s social media channels and strategy

    • In partnership with the Marketing & Communications Manager, develop a content calendar to elevate KIPP Metro Atlanta’s brand
    • Create and post engaging content daily on social media platforms, measure the effectiveness of this content, and drive deeper engagement
    • Proactively engage in sharing and conversations with stakeholders and partners on social media channels, with a focus on KIPP Metro Atlanta families, elected officials, and community influencers
    • In partnership with the Marketing & Communications Manager and appropriate internal teams, execute KIPP Metro Atlanta’s digital ad strategy to recruit more students to our network, more teachers to our schools, and more supporters to our community
    • Surface key trends from our social media community

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related areas (preferred)
    • Minimum of two years of design and/or marketing experience with demonstrated success in creating effective marketing and communications materials (required)
    • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite: PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign (required); experience in digital design (strongly preferred); mastery of MS Office suite (strongly preferred)
    • Experience with managing social media accounts for an organization (preferably a nonprofit)
    • Experience with photography (for social media) and photo editing skills (preferred)
    • Excellent attention to detail and writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
    • Detail and results-oriented team player who is dedicated to getting the job done 
    • Successful track record of collaboratively working with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external
