    Job Description

    Here's what you need to know:

    The Camden Enrollment Associate is responsible for engaging with prospective families to build excitement towards applying for their child to attend a KIPP Camden school. The Enrollment Associate should have experience building and maintaining relationships with city and neighborhood partners like nonprofit organizations, business, residential complexes, daycares and more. The Enrollment Associate is data driven and is actively making pivots in strategy based on enrollment numbers. They are comfortable working in an environment that requires you to project manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines, while never losing sight of the overarching goals and desired outcomes. An Enrollment Associate must be available to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.

    Here's what you'll be doing:

    Student Recruitment

    • Develops and maintains relationships with city-wide and neighborhood partners to organize student recruitment activities
    • Mobilizes current KIPP Camden families and creates a Parent Ambassador program to support student recruitment activities
    • Prepares for and executes recruitment activities which may include: phone banking, block walking, tabling, and participating in community events
    • Drops off collateral and relevant marketing materials to businesses, daycare partners, apartment complex, nonprofits, etc. to build awareness of our academic offerings
    • Effectively pitches KIPP Camden as a school option to prospective families in the field with the intention of meeting the application goal set for the intended recruitment activity
    • Reaches out to assigned leads and documents outreach on a daily basis using our CRM system, HubSpot
    • Nurtures applicants immediately after applying by calling or texting them to serve as their enrollment point of contact
    • Fields incoming calls, emails, texts to answer any questions prospective families might have about KIPP Camden
    • Fields recruitment related inquiries from School Leaders and Operations teammates
    • Joins weekly check-ins with manager to get ongoing direction, feedback, and coaching

    School Collaboration

    • Organizes and participates in open house and welcome sessions with prospective families
    • Participates in key school activities such as report card nights, New-to-KIPP welcome events, family nights, etc. to collect potential applications, leads, or referrals

    Family and Community Engagement

    • Leads initiatives to connect KIPP families with basic needs, including back-to-school supplies, Thanksgiving meals, holiday presents, and winter coats
    • Serves as liaison between community stakeholders and KIPP Camden regional leaders, and support with school and regional initiatives that require connections with community stakeholders
    • Ensures strong parent and community attendance at regular Title 1 meetings
    • Supports with get-out-the-vote and civic engagement outreach to KIPP families

    • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Google Drive), with the ability to quickly learn new technologies (SchoolMint, Slack, HubSpot, etc.)
    • Must have reliable transportation to travel between campuses and to and from community events / meetings

    Abilities

    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments at once
    • Ability to travel to school locations to meet with staff
    • Ability to work in a team as well as follow-through independently on required tasks
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Must Haves:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands:

    • Able to stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time and carry 10-20 pounds as needed (e.g. recruitment materials, etc.)
    • Prolonged periods of working at computer and sitting at desk.
