Qualifications
Must Haves
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent
- Must enjoy working with students and families
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate with others well - bilingual also a plus, but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, absent a legally required accommodation, pursuant to a New Jersey Executive Order and federal and state guidance
Here are some examples of what you'll be doing:
- Build positive rapport and relationships with all community members
- Represent our school as the first person people will interact with by upholding school values
- Observe and report activities and incidents
- Provide security and safety of students, staff, and property
- Respond appropriately per procedures and protocols to student infractions
- Support student entry and dismissal each day Monitor security cameras
- Ensure order and safety, and may act to enforce rules and regulations for the school pertaining to staff, visitors, and premises
- Patrol building and exterior on foot- check for security violations, hazards, unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits
- Report details of incidents in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations while keeping the scene secure
- Maintain logs and reports as required
- Support infrequent weekend/evening events as needed
- Perform other duties as needed to support school-wide systems
