Qualifications
YOU'LL BE QUALIFIED IF YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning is required; Master’s degree with emphasis in special education highly preferred
- Valid California credential for Level I or Level II Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate with Autism Authorization or Moderate/Severe) credential
- Possession of either BCLAD or CLAD certification highly desirable
- 3 years of effective case management skills required, with at least 1 year of that experience within KIPP SoCal, highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of highly effective teaching experience demonstrating a strong track record of student performance gains with students with IEPs
- Experience facilitating contentious IEPs which lead to IEP team consensus
- Access to reliable transportation as you may be required to travel between school sites within any given day
- Knowledge of LAUSD special education policy, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Welligent and/or SEIS preferred
- Excellent organizational, planning, and implementation skills
- Ability to manage the ambiguity and multiple priorities inherent in a fast-paced environment
- Results-oriented
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies across multiple school sites
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
- High proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Takes initiative, and demonstrates leadership
- Ability to stay positive through challenges
- Detail-oriented team player willing to roll up sleeves and get the job done
- Unquestioned integrity and commitment to KIPP SoCal Schools mission
