    Job Description

    What You'll Do

    • INTERNALLY, THIS ROLE WILL BE CALLED INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR
    • The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day technical support of hardware and software across all sites within KIPP SoCal Public Schools. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading of hardware and related systems.
    • This position will be a critical part of the KIPP SoCal Public Schools team and family, working closely with teachers, school operations team members, and students. This position will require occasional overtime on weekdays.  The Information Technology Coordinator will report to the Senior Manager of Technology and will be based out of the School Success Team office in Los Angeles, though significant time spent in schools will be expected.
    • Provide excellent first-response technical support for support issues across KIPP SoCal Public Schools
    • Provide helpful and timely response and resolution to helpdesk requests
    • Manage assigned Helpdesk tickets
    • Meet a designated weekly quota of device hardware repairs; hardware includes Chromebooks and Apple devices
    • Assist with providing technology training to KIPP SoCal Public Schools team members
    • Escalate issues to next level support as needed
    • Work with the Innovation & Technology team to recommend and implement improvement
    • Assist with provisioning and deployment of all new team member and student technology devices including Apple devices, Chromebooks, Windows PCs, Tablets, Cellular and Desk phones, etc.
    • Perform computer imaging tasks including image updates, one-off deployments, and yearly global refresh cycle
    • Work with the Innovation & Technology team to research, evaluate and recommend changes to new computer models, operating systems, software, and peripherals
    • Update and maintain the asset inventory database
    • Basic administration of Google Apps for EDU domain (user account changes)
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Minimum one to two years in supporting technology – preferably at an educational institution
    • General proficiency with mainstream computer platforms
    • Audio Visual experience a plus
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjust priorities and work autonomously
    • Passion for learning new skills and technologies
    • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Able to build strong relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to maintain confidential data
    • Previous experience working with a Helpdesk ticketing system a plus
    • Associate Degree or equivalent and or experience
    • A+ certification is desirable and or experience
    • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
    • Willingness to travel between sites in the Los Angeles area (current regional footprint: South, Southeast, and East Los Angeles); occasional travel to San Diego required
    • A valid California driver’s license and dependable transportation
