    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW: Your responsibilities as a Virtual Learning Facilitator

     

    KIPP St. Louis teachers and facilitators are at the core of our mission to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and character strengths needed to succeed throughout their education and in the competitive world beyond. KIPP St. Louis will offer a virtual program option to families for the 2021-22 school year. As a virtual learning facilitator, you will manage a caseload of students who are engaging in virtual learning through a Virtual Learning partner program.  KIPP Virtual Learning Facilitators will report daily, in-person to a KIPP St. Louis School building.

    POSITION TYPE: Full time, exempt    

    This is a grant funded position for the 2021-22 school year. 

     

    AS A KIPP ST. LOUIS VIRTUAL LEARNING FACILITATOR, YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    CASELOAD MANAGEMENT

     

    • Manage a caseload of up to 40 students to support their success in virtual asynchronous curriculum

    • Work with an asynchronous program to track student progress and work completion.

    ●   Use data from the program to inform follow up and instructional decisions

    ●   Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning need

    ●   Facilitate intervention in a virtual setting to support individual student growth

    ●   Consistently enter student grades into online grading system

     

    HELP BUILD A POSITIVE VIRTUAL CLASSROOM CULTURE

    ●   Embody and maintain school’s values, policies, and culture

    ●   Host office hours to check in with students and support progress monitoring

    ●   Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff

    ●   Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress

     

    DEMONSTRATE A GROWTH MINDSET

    ●   Pursue challenging professional goals each year

    ●   Give and receive positive and constructive feedback with your colleagues

    ●   Participate in school-wide and individual professional development

    QUALIFICATIONS

    THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED OF KIPP ST. LOUIS TEACHERS:

    • A Bachelor’s degree

    • Experience with managing a caseload of students, or other comparable experience

    • Pass Criminal Background Check

    • Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap

    • Proficient in technology including, Zoom and Google Suite
