    Job Description

    The Opportunity

    • Internally, this role will be called Office Operations Coordinator.
    • Reporting to the Director of Strategy, the Office Operations Coordinator will play a critical role supporting KIPP SoCal’s School Success Team and Board of Directors. This role will own and coordinate several high visibility systems. Additionally, The Office Operations Coordinator will be a frontline representative of KIPP SoCal with key stakeholder groups.

     

    Customer Service & Communications

    • Answer KIPP SoCal’s main regional phone line and forward calls/messages 
    • Assist families with enrollment inquiries and general questions about KIPP SoCal’s schools
    • Engage directly with concerned parents/community members and facilitate follow-up
    • Manage the School Success Team Bulletin and KIPPster of the Month processes
    • Help plan and execute office-wide celebrations as a member of the Sunshine Committee

    Board Meeting Coordination

    • Ensure KIPP SoCal remains compliant with the Brown Act, SB 126, and other requirements
    • Collaborate with school-based team members to post meeting agendas on time
    • Help create and manage agendas, voting items, and other Board materials
    • Attend Board and Committee meetings & take detailed minutes  
    • Update and organize KIPP SoCal’s online Board meeting & materials platform
    • Respond to Board-related audit, oversight, and compliance requests

     

    Administrative Support

    • Assist with credit card reconciliation, expense reimbursement, and meeting scheduling
    • Coordinate space reservations, catering, set-up, and other logistics for offsite meetings

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
    • Fluency in Spanish and English
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or customer service oriented role
    • Proactive self starter with strong confidence and initiative
    • Proficiency with Zoom, Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets). Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Customer service oriented, demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced environment
    • Strong, professional written and verbal communication
    • Excellent personal organization systems and attention to detail, can balance multiple tasks & deadlines
