    Job Description

    The Talent Recruiter, Special Education will develop and maintain the infrastructure for recruitment, which includes a standardized application process and processing candidate workflow. The Talent Recruiter will work with other recruitment team members and implement the selection process for processing qualified candidates.  The Talent Recruiter will maintain close working relationships with School Leaders and hiring managers to gain a greater understanding of their staffing needs. This position furthers the mission of KIPP Texas by recruiting talented individuals who demonstrate the potential to be highly effective teachers and employees.

    The Talent Recruiter, Special Education, will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment of special education teachers and staff, and may include additional special programs roles as needed. The Talent Recruiter will own the statewide recruitment and selection campaign for special education roles as an individual contributor portfolio, and will partner with talent recruiters across KIPP Texas to select and hire special educators and special education staff in all KIPP Texas schools.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES  1.  Generate leads and maximize leads generated to ensure that we have a diverse cohort of the strongest talent available to meet the demand of assigned portfolio roles (up to 100 targeted positions per year.) The Talent Recruiter, Special Education will be responsible for creating and managing the lead generation campaign for their portfolio’s needs, including sourcing, cultivation, referral generation, social media and event strategy. Partner with teammates on the Lead Generation team on additional lead generation strategy for campaign, including attending and executing events, sourcing and cultivating candidates, and generating and cultivating referrals. Demonstrate ability to adjust strategy of cultivation of and allocation of leads to meet highest priority needs.

    2.    Ensure a high quality candidate experience. Facilitates best in class interactions with KIPP in all forms of communication and interaction, such as email correspondence, phone correspondence, interview logistics and support, and candidate support through the point of an accepted offer.

    1. Provide exemplary support to hiring teams and hiring managers.  Key contributions include supporting hiring teams to proactively solidify their hiring needs in the upcoming school year, staying abreast of and acting on any changes in the hiring landscape, ensuring strong leads are identified and quickly handed off for review, supporting logistics for on-site and/or virtual interview days, and stewarding the offer extension process. 

    2. Liaise with Special Education stakeholders across KIPP Texas. Proactively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization who are similarly prioritizing Special Education in their respective capacities. Stay abreast of evolutions in certification policies, career development and growth programming, compensation models and stipends, and other strategic initiatives impacting Special Education and special programs staff members across KIPP Texas at regional and state levels.  

    3. Operate with exemplary team spirit with eagerness to demonstrate flexibility and contribute to the overall needs of the team as they arise.

    • 1+ years in talent recruitment role with demonstrated record of results
    • High School Diploma required
    • Passion for special education programs and services
