    Job Description

    The TALENT RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR (ESSER) will assist in developing and maintaining the infrastructure for the talent recruitment team which includes sourcing candidates, assisting in the pre-screening of candidates, executing event logistics, and providing general administration support to the talent recruitment team. This position furthers the mission of KIPP Texas by recruiting talented individuals who demonstrate the potential to be highly effective teachers and employees.  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The Coordinator will:

    1. SOURCE TALENTED INDIVIDUALS TO WORK AT KIPP TEXAS IN INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT AND TEACHER ROLES ROLES

      • Post job descriptions for open positions on the KIPP Texas online application system and ensure data fidelity.
      • Assist other members of the recruitment team in sourcing candidates for positions, including utilizing LinkedIn and other platforms to create candidate call lists.
      • Assist leadership hiring managers by posting open positions, and providing regular updates to the Talent Recruitment Team.  
      • Provide miscellaneous support for recruitment campaigns, including application review, candidate screening, and assessment of readiness.
    2. EXECUTE EVENT LOGISTICS FOR THE TALENT RECRUITMENT TEAM

      • Work with the Talent recruitment team to execute logistics for events such as job fairs, sourcing and cultivation events.
      • Serve as a go-to coordinator the day-of large and small scale events
      • Ensure exemplary hiring manager and hiring team experience, planning and executing events with an eye to exemplary hiring team communication regarding logistics, preparation, day-of execution, and follow through to the point of hire
    3. PROVIDE GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT FOR THE TALENT RECRUITMENT TEAM

      • Respond to recruitment-related inquiries via phone and email
      • Process payment request forms for talent recruitment expenses
      • Complete credit card reports and reimbursement request forms for talent recruitment team expenses
      • Manage and coordinate candidate travel and reimbursements. 
      • Maintain and input recruitment data for the Leadership Recruitment team on a rolling basis.
      • Other duties as assigned.

    4.    ENSURE A HIGH QUALITY CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE. 

    o   Facilitates best in class interactions with KIPP in all forms of communication and interaction, such as email correspondence, phone correspondence, interview logistics and support, and candidate support through the point of an accepted offer.

    1.    OPERATE WITH EXEMPLARY TEAM SPIRIT with eagerness to demonstrate flexibility and contribute to the overall needs of the team as they arise.

    • High School Diploma

      SKILLS:

    • Ability to effectively express KIPP’s mission and purpose to candidates
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to assess a candidate’s qualities and potential in a limited amount of time
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
    • Excellent organizational skills required
    • Strong typing skills are required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
    • Proficiency using computers, printers, and copy machines

    COMPENSATION Salary is based on years of experience, degree of education, and level of expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.

    FUNDING:

    The Talent Recruitment Coordinator (ESSER) will be funded directly from the Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER) grants awarded by the Texas Education Agency under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (ESSER II) and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ESSER III). This position will be funded solely (100%) from the ESSER II and III allocation for administrative expenses through September 30, 2023, and may continue to be funded through September 30, 2024, depending upon the availability of ESSER grant funds.
