The Opportunity
The Regional Specialist, Multilingual Instruction **** role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has extensive experience with second-language acquisition, deep content knowledge of effective sheltered instruction techniques and the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS); who is committed to advancing the academic achievement of emergent bilingual learners; and who is eager to influence multilingual education in their region.
The Regional Multilingual Instructional Specialist will have the opportunity to play a significant role in ensuring that our instructional vision is lived inside of our classrooms and schools by supporting school leadership teams with content-based ESL program implementation, instructional coaching, aligned data-analysis practices and aligned professional development opportunities in an effort to drive improved student results and closing the achievement gap in one of our regions: Houston, Austin, Dallas, or San Antonio.
