Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
The KTX S3 Manager of Operations furthers the mission of KTX as it helps ensure that all students have the tools they need to learn. The Manager of Operations provides critical operations support to ensure consistent and efficient flow of systems, supports, and compliance across S3 programs, including Special Populations, Student Wellness, and Multilingual Programs.
Student Support Services (S3) exists to prevent, respond to, and minimize the barriers to learning that KIPP students may experience. As a key member and leader within the multidisciplinary S3 team, the KTX S3 Manager of Operations plays a crucial role in the following:
Management and oversight of day to day operations of S3 Leadership Team
Operational support of S3 budgets
Ensuring compliance within S3 programs
Management of contract services
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, manage, and optimize team policies, systems, and procedures
Lead implementation of team policies and procedures related to operations, technology, and data management
Support S3 Leaders Team in writing and disseminating strategic communications to team and organization
Create and manage team calendar
Supports team with on-the-ground operations and logistics for professional learning events as necessary
Support Deputy Chief with special projects as necessary
Procure replacement technology
Pay invoices
Manage price quotes and purchase orders
Project manage the design of professional learning events
Organize team retreats
Partner with Deputy Chief and Managing Directors to define budgetary priorities each school year
Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure team members manage their budget priorities
Create systems for holding team members accountable for budget management
Create systems for holding team members accountable for submitting credit card reimbursements
Develop, implement, and administer policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with all Federal and State requirements for S3 programs
Lead strategy and execution of all business projects, including vendor contracts, vendor management, etc.
Identify and manage new initiatives to meet the changing needs of the team and schools (e.g., transportation)
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
Excellent organizational skills required
Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to work
Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proven success in working in an environment characterized by changing priorities
Strong typing skills are required
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications
Proficiency using computers, printers, copy machines, and fax machines
