** Overview**
We have been engaged by our client to identify a Controller that will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in financial management for Architecture Engineering-Construction firms. Responsibilities
- Oversee the company's financial reporting process.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to management.
- Identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue advancement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Manage/oversee the audit process.
- Management of Accounts Receivable and Cash Collections.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team achieves its goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in financial management for Architecture Engineering-Construction firms.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Expertise of Federal Acquisitions Regulation Overhead Audit, American Association of Highway and Transportation Officials Uniform Audit Guide requirements.
- Experience working on Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Department of Transportation projects preferred.
- Experience managing accounting and finance teams, including hiring, training, and development.
- Proficient in financial software applications, such as Unanet, Excel, and other accounting systems.
