    In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource for KPERS members and employers, delivering clear and informative educational presentations about retirement planning and system benefits.     What You'll Do

    • Develop and deliver engaging workshops and seminars to KPERS members and employers on retirement planning, benefits, and system processes
    • Provide guidance to members on topics such as membership, beneficiaries, life insurance, disability benefits, retirement benefits, and service purchases
    • Attend benefit fairs and informational events, engaging with attendees, distributing educational materials, and answering questions about retirement system benefits.
    • Conduct training sessions for employers ** ****** to ensure benefit staff understand retirement system policies, procedures, and legislative updates
    • Partner with the KPERS Communications team to develop innovative educational programs for employees at every stage of their career—from early career to retirement readiness
    • Provide training and support to new and existing KPERS benefit staff and collaborate with leadership on educational initiatives
    • Provide office support by answering KPERS' general question email box, registering participants, updating employer designated agents information, scheduling training sessions, maintaining records of outreach visits and workshops and gathering participant feedback to improve programs

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Three years of experience developing and delivering informational or educational presentations to diverse groups, preferably in public administration or benefits administration or a bachelor's degree in education, business administration or public administration with one year of experience developing and delivering informational or educational presentations to diverse groups, preferably in public administration or benefits administration
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% within the state of Kansas
    • Knowledge of retirement planning concepts, such as defined benefit and defined contribution plans, is preferred
    • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
