    Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of an Adjunct Professor **** in the ****School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. FSWs' adjunct professors are responsible for providing professional quality work as a teaching faculty member. Work includes conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College; preparing and delivering lectures to students; compiling, administering and grading examinations; and providing academic assistance to students as needed. As an FSW adjunct, you have the opportunity to directly impact the college mission to inspire our students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
    • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

  • Qualifications
    • Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and KPS Global Code of Conduct requirements
    • Operating hand tools including electrical and pneumatic powered tools
    • Repairing basic electrical and mechanical systems like wiring, switches, tools, and manually operating plant equipment
    • Reading and interpreting schematics, blue prints, diagrams, and service manuals to determine appropriate maintenance and repair needs
    • Troubleshooting production equipment, powered industrial trucks, hoists, tools, and company vehicles to determine maintenance and service requirements
    • Fabricating production/facility equipment using welding, brazing, plumbing, and basic electrical knowledge
    • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities as required
    • Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving parts and equipment in preparation for inspection, maintenance, or service using powered industrial trucks and overhead lifting equipment as required
    • Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes and paperwork including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping/receiving materials
    • Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
