    SUMMARY : WR has a potential opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, Basic to conduct, research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems.


    Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Design electronic circuits, components and integrated systems, utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials.
    • Design test control apparatus and equipment, determine procedures for testing products and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.
    • Develop new applications of conductive properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials used in components, and in application of components to products or systems.
    • Assist in field operations and maintenance of electronic installations.
    • Evaluate operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
    • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

    Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.

    Three (3) years of experience in DoD Electronics, to include:

    o Systems/Equipment design

    o Test

    o Evaluation support of C4ISR requirements

    • One (1) year of technical experience in support of design and development of US Navy Navigation Systems with at least one (1) of the following specialized areas:
      • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) interface protocols (I/Os)
      • Digital design using state-of-the-art microprocessors
      • Analog, power and/or RF design

    · Note: Experience may be concurrent.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution with a major in foods and nutrition, community nutrition, nutrition education, or nutritional sciences and one years of related experience or a Master’s Degree from an institution accredited by a recognized regional accrediting body in nutritional sciences, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, home economics with a major in foods and nutrition. Persons with a Master’s Degree in nutrition who do not have a Bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition must have successfully completed the equivalent subject matter at the graduate level to compensate for any courses not completed at the undergraduate level.
