    With headquarters in Tromsø, Norway, Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (KSAT) supplies ground station services for satellite communications. KSAT is the world’s largest supplier of services for telemetry, tasking and control (TT&C) and data acquisition from non-geostationary satellites.

    Founded in 1968, KSAT has grown to about 400 employees with an annual revenue of approximately $120M. About 50% of KSAT’s annual revenue comes from the US. The KSAT Inc. (aka. KSAT USA) offices are located in the Denver Colorado area.

    Summary of Position

    KSAT USA is seeking an early-mid-career professional, with demonstrated experience in contract administration and contract management. The Contract Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the execution and management of complex contracts with commercial customers and others that support US government programs and projects.

    The Contract Administrator is responsible for the full life cycle of KSAT Inc’s contracting, from coordinating with the Sales/Business Development team on proposal drafting, through review and negotiation of contract terms and conditions, facilitating customer invoicing, and tracking required deliverables. The Contract Administrator leads processes associated with obtaining and maintaining required registration, documentation, authorization, and approvals for contracting.

    The Contract Administrator may also facilitate sub-contracting actions, including drafting sub-contracts and representing KSAT in sub-contract negotiations.

    The Contract Administrator will work as part of a matrixed organization, working closely with KSAT’s Legal and Finance Teams, who resides in Norway.

    The role will be local to the Greater Denver region. Relocation assistance to the Greater Denver region is available for the right candidate.

    Details of the Role

    Essential Job Duties, Responsibilities, Requirements:

    Primary tasks and responsibility

    • Maintain and administer complex contracts with KSAT USA’s customers and subcontractors
    • Review and provide first level risk assessment on terms and conditions
      • Potentially including US government FAR/DFARS contract flow-downs
    • Coordinate with KSAT internal and external Legal Counsel as necessary
    • Maintain contract files; track deliverables; prepare status reports; and reconcile records with Finance and Project Manager
    • Support the Sales/Business Development team with commercial opportunities, RFP evaluation(s), and contract related activities

    KSAT will consider all candidates meeting the below qualifications. Applicants who meet the requirements below but have less experience may be trained where necessary. Applicants with more professional experience will be expected to hit the ground running upon joining the team.

    Requirements

    • Current US Citizenship

    Required Experience

    • 3+ years managing contracts and/or subcontract in the aerospace and/or defense industry
    • Knowledge of US government acquisition processes, including the FAR / DFARS is preferred
    • Experience with DoD programs is preferred
    • Experience in the LEO space industry is preferred

    Travel

    • Travel is estimated at 10>#/span###
    • Travel will be necessary to customer sites (primarily within the USA)
    • Travel will be necessary to Tromsø, Norway several times per year

    Education and certifications

    • Undergraduate education preferred

    The Top Priorities During the First 6 Months:

    • Take ownership of an assigned portfolio of contracts, including full review and evaluation
    • Establish relationships with customer/partner points of contact for assigned projects, with recurring meetings/dialogues
    • Becoming familiar with internal stakeholders and resources, traveling to Norway for onboarding and team-development activities

    Compensation

    The target base compensation range of this position is $60K - $75K.

    Candidate is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus equal to up to 12% of the base salary.
