Job Description
As a member of KWC’s audit team, the manager focuses on planning, supervising, and reviewing audits of nonprofit organizations, government contractors, and employee benefit plans. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on financial statement review, compilation, and preparation engagements for clients in a range of industries including nonprofit organizations, government contractors, and professional services firms.
You’ll work closely with a close-knit group of fellow auditors who enjoy sharing knowledge and pooling resources to complete projects. Salary commensurate with experience
A typical day might include the following: • Plan and review audit files in CCH® ProSystem fx®Engagement • Plan and supervise audit testing/fieldwork remotely and on-site at client facilities • Assist with wrap-up and review after audit fieldwork to include finalizing workpapers and checklists using PPC Smart Audit • Review of draft financial statements and related audit documents • Review of tax returns for audit clients in CCH® ProSystemfx® Tax, if appropriate based on experience • Train and develop other staff members • Attend CPE to remain up-to-date on changes in GAAP and tax laws
Job requirements include the following: • 6+ years of public accounting experience • Active CPA license • Bachelors or Master’s degree in accounting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Extremely detail-oriented, thorough and organized • Professional image and positive attitude • Team player that wants their voice heard and is receptive to constructive feedback • Ability to work efficiently in paperless environment • Alexandria area candidate preferred but remote work possible for the successful candidate
