We’re looking for a journalist to join our growing team as a Digital Marketing Strategist & Content Creator. Are you are a professional storyteller with experience in radio, TV, print, or online? Want to explore putting those skills to work in the world of social media? We’d like to talk. As a member of our team, you will build relationships with our clients, create content that helps tell their story, and distribute that content over social media channels. You will also manage client social media accounts, interacting with fans and followers on their behalf. You must have a journalism degree or equivalent work experience, be comfortable with the major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and possess a basic understanding of social media marketing best practices. It is important that you enjoy research and writing, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skill/interest in video, photography or graphic design is considered a plus. This is a full-time, salaried position.
We operate on a 9/80 workweek - Fridays off every other week, 9-hour workdays from 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday.
The right person for this job will be…. CREATIVE. How can you held brands stand out from the crowd. Can you identify the client's differentiator? If they don't have one, can you develop one? We build relationships with our clients' customers or clients, and we use different marketing tools to maintain that connection. If you have big ideas, are willing to take risks, and want a job where you can be innovative and try new things, KWSM could be a very good fit. COMMUNICATIVE. We tell stories for a living. That involves engaging and communicating with an audience on social media, but it also requires the ability to communicate well with our clients, and each other. We are a company with four offices in four cities and we like to brainstorm and build on each others' ideas. Can you jump into the mix with a strong and passionate voice?
TEAM-ORIENTED BUT SELF-DIRECTED. We have a very collaborative approach and want to work with people who want to be part of a team. We want motivated marketers who meet deadlines without fail, work productively with other team members, and communicate with colleagues and managers who may be out of state. SOCIAL. Yes, we work online. But in order to accurately tell our clients' stories online, we have to get to know them offline, too. A large part of your job will be building relationships with clients and acting as their advocate. We work hard for our clients, but we like to socialize with them, too. PASSIONATE. We want to work with people who are passionate. If you have the ability to get excited about something and throw yourself into it, you will fit in well here.
