    Job Description

    The IBD’s primary responsibility is to develop new clients to expand and grow the Eurofins BioPharma Services, within a defined territory.

    Complements new client development activity in collaboration with 1 to 3 Regional Account Managers, within assigned geographic territory. 

    • Achieves personal, new bookings targets for Eurofins BioPharma Services.  
    • Develop new clients to expand and grow the Eurofins BioPharma Services business for defined territory.
    • Identify at least 10 new prospect accounts per quarter that could benefit from working with Eurofins BioPharma Services
    • Identify contacts at each company that would be responsible for outsourcing Central Laboratory and Bioanalytical Services
    • Identify prospect accounts via all available tools (Zymewire, RFP activity, News Releases, BD leads, Website leads, Clinicaltrials.gov, Hubspot etc.) and perform initial contact via e-mail/telephone as appropriate.  Goal is to highlight capabilities of the Eurofins BioPharma Services, and secure General Capabilities presentation.
    • Attends bi-weekly Sales Meeting, with participation in providing details pertaining to open opportunity status and key client interaction
    • 10 Face to Face or WebEx  meetings delivering a general capabilities presentation to prospect clients per month
    • 60 email or phone call interactions with new clients per month
    • Identify, qualify and document potential customers, sales opportunities and unmet client needs in the assigned territory that are aligned with the company capabilities (fit-for-win).
    • Initiate and maintain new or existing client contacts, obtain and respond to requests for information / proposal (RFI/RFP) and initiated the generation of new quotes in accordance with the sales plan. 
    • Proactively reports significant opportunities (large revenue, multi-protocol programs, key or new prospect accounts) to leadership in Business Development, as well as shares details during regularly scheduled department meetings.
    • Report and utilize marketplace developments and specific competitive information.
    • Post-award, partner with Project Managers on resolving potential issues and facilitate client dialogue to manage/strengthen the relationship.  Act as advocate of client, interfacing with Eurofins operational teams/leadership.
    • Other tasks as required and identified by Eurofins BioPharma Services leadership.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The Ideal Candidate would possess: 

    • One - three (1-3) years of clinical or central laboratory, clinical trial (CRO, trial supplies/logistics, e-Clinical) or relevant B2B project service (e.g. consulting) industry
    • Salesforce experience a plus.
    • Proficient use of MS Office
    • Strong customer focus and a strong can-do attitude
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Converts abstract issues into concrete actions and results, devises new methods, methods and techniques
    • Excellent in establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships, extends and maintains a wide network of contacts. Organizes and participates in important consultation structures
    • Fluent in English, spoken and written
    • Fluent in additional languages is a plus

      Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

    • BSc/BA or equivalent in healthcare/life sciences (laboratory or clinical services preferred) or business degree from a reputable institution
    • Valid driving license
    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
