Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

· The Plant Logistics Manager (PLM) is responsible for leading the Material Logistics Management (MLM) operations team in Safety, Quality, lean Production Way and Inventory Control Optimization activities at the plant level.

· This individual will use analytics to develop the strategic direction for the MLM department in support of plant, division and corporate objectives.

· The PLM is held accountable for meeting industry and company audit compliance, managing and allocating department financial resources, and interpreting and communicating the corporate business directives at the plant level.

· The PLM also acts as the plant Production Way Logistics and Customer Service (LCS) Pillar lead responsible for driving lean process activities by integrating with multiple levels of the organization and other pillars.

REQUIREMENTS/BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused in production control, supply chain or material handling

· Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues as well as manage through all aspects of the daily business including escalation and communication as required Experience in setting strategic direction, leading and developing the MLM team Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application

· Ability to implement, sustain and improve new or existing material flow processes and inventory control strategies

· Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master's Degree in related field

· Production Way Logistics Pillar knowledge

· Experience Working in a Unionized Environment.
