    DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

    The Human Resources Director will serve as a key leader and partner to Kaeding Management Group LLC and Crowne Plaza AiRE. This position requires a high-energy, problem solving, and detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills and a love for working with people.     Some day to day responsibilities include, but not limited to the following;

    Employee Relations

    Compensation and Benefits Administration

    Creation and enforcement of processes and policies

    Performance Management

    Training and Development

    Oversee Workers Compensation and Unemployment Claims

    Full Cycle Recruitment

    Assist in the creation of and work within the established Human Resources department budget and control expenses

    Safety Committee responsibilities

    Monitor staffing to manage costs

    Responsible for bi-monthly payroll processing

    The People:

    Create programs to foster a positive work environment for all employees. Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey.

    Educate and train managers on progressive discipline processes in accordance with hotel or company policies including progressive disciplinary process, performance management process, and related programs to foster productivity, and enhance performance.

    Conduct new team member orientation, providing information on hotel or company standards, policies, procedures, rules, and team member benefit programs.

    Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees.

    Ensure hotel or company hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed in a timely manner for recruiting and selection processes. Build relations with outside contacts.

    Guest Experience:

    Develop creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide guests with a unique experience.

    Make time to interact with guests to solicit feedback and build relationships to understand how team members can increase guest satisfaction.

    Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.

    Responsible Business:

    Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in the local community.

    Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and hotel or company policies and procedures. Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit.

    Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programs.

    Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues.

    Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as the manager on duty.

    Qualifications AND Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' human resources experience, hospitality/hotel experience a plus.

    College Degree preferred.

    Broad knowledge and experience dealing with employment law, benefits and compensation, employee relations, safety, and training and development.

    Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff.

    Minimum of 4 years experience in a Human Resources Management role, required

    Minimum of 3 years' Payroll Administration experience

    Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level or higher

    Minimum of 3 years' experience with HRIS and ATS, required

    Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

    Excellent organization skills and active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.

    Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Human Resources Management.

    Must read, write, and speak fluently in the English language. Other languages may be preferred.
