PRIMARY FOCUS

Deliver an appealing room service meal in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Hotel/Franchise standards and Food Sanitation procedures to achieve and exceed guest expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Answer room service telephone calls within 3 rings, taking guest order, and entering order correctly in to the computer.

Answer all questions about cooking methods, menus items, specials and prices of all items.

Prepare room service tray with guest drink, silver ware, and condiments etc. Based on room service standards ensuring appearance meets standards, and temperatures/portions are correct.

Arranging food on room service tray to be appetizing and appealing with garnishes etc.

Take meal to guest room in a timely manner, serving while still hot, politely greeting the guest and setting tray up in room, completing by ensuring guest satisfaction.

Collect payments from guests.

Ensure room service area is neat, clean, and in working order.

Be prepared to assist others in the restaurant during down time, or as needed.

Collecting all room service trays in hotel corridors.

Complete other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience a plus

Must have working knowledge of food sanitation/basic serving skills

SKILLS:

English a must, any other languages a plus

Must be guest service oriented

Computer skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Have a good working knowledge of the room service menu; be able to make suggestions to guests who inquire about selections

Excellent speaking and communication skills

The ability to work swiftly, in a fast paced environment

Must work well independently

OTHER:

Being passionate about people and service

Reading and writing abilities

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Be able to lift food trays, carrying trays of food, and push carts upon to 50 lbs.

Being able to bend to pick up, and set trays down

Having a flexible schedule to work some days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
